We bought Sugar as weanling from Ray Wardell of Moorcroft, Wyoming. Sugar's mother was not halter broke and when we went to see them for the first time both mother and foal had scratch marks from a recent
encounter with a mountain lion. She was pretty wild when we got her home but she responded well to patient handling. As a two year old she had 60 days of professional training with Dale Cossman and didn't
offer to buck once. We have been riding her steadily since and she is turning into a nice saddle horse.
