Blues Plenty Man comes to us from NS Farms in Kansas City, MO where he was used for roping and breeding. When we started looking for a stallion three
years ago, we knew that we wanted a blue roan grandson of Blue Valentine to cross on our Leo Hancock Hayes mares. We considered several
sons of Blues Kingfisher and Rowdy Blue Man but had a hard time finding one that met all of our criteria. We were looking for a stallion that was willing and athletic, had a quiet
disposition, correct conformation, a nice head and four black feet. Blues Plenty Man stood out as a genetically unique individual being a son of Blues Kingfisher and out of a daughter of Gooseberry.
We flew to Missouri to look at him in February of 2004. We were pleased to find that he met all of our criteria but were unable to negotiate his purchase
at that time. When we were given another chance to buy him in the fall of 2005, we didn't pass up the opportunity. Blues Plenty Man has the Blue Valentine disposition combined with the old time
Quarter Horse build. We think his good mind and athletic ability will be just the right cross on our big bodied Blue Valentine mares.
