We decided to keep Daphne because she fractured her elbow when she was only a month old and we doubted she would ever be sound. I was never so happy to be wrong. Daphne healed up
just fine and by the time she was a yearling she had caught up with the other colts and never showed any signs of lameness. Just to be safe, we waited until she was three to have her started and we couldn't be
more pleased with her progress. Our trainer, Dale Cossman, absolutely loved her and said she was a dream to work with. We have been riding her and she doesn't seem to forget anything
even after being layed off for months. We hope to eventually add her to our broodmare band but not until we get the chance to make her into a good Horn Rapids ranch horse.
